SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18 – THAYER

Thayer Freewill Baptist Church Quilters for Christ will have a bake sale this Friday November 17th at Hirsch Feed and Farm Supply in WP. It starts at 8am and will go until it’s sold out. All proceeds go to St. Jude. They will also be selling tickets for $1 a piece or 6 for $5 for a handmade quilt. The quilt will be given away on the day of the St. Jude Radio-thon in February.

 

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21 – WEST PLAINS:

The West Plains Plant Society will hold their last meeting for this season on Tuesday, November 21st at 6:30 p.m. at the Ozarks Regional Office of the Missouri Department of Conservation, 551 Joe Jones Blvd in West Plains.  Fall blooming flowers and plant identification will be featured. This meeting is free and open to the public.

 

NOV 24 TO DEC 9 – WEST PLAINS:

The Harlin Museum at 405 Worcester Avenue in West Plains will host a holiday festival in the Hathcock Gallery of the Museum November 24th through Dec 9th. An S-gauge model railroad train garden will be set up in the center of the gallery with bazaar vendor tables around it.  Booth space is now for rent..$75.00 for the entire festival. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1 – West Plains

The West Plains Elks lodge is hosting a Toy Drive for give Kids a good Christmas.  The date of the drive is December 1st at the Elks lodge north of West Plains.  The Fender Bender band will perform from 7 to 9 p.m.  Enjoy a Spaghetti dinner and fixins with the admission being a  NEW toy to help kids have a good Christmas.  Please let’s join together and help.

 

 

SATURDAY, DEC 9 – THAYER – Christmas parade

The Thayer Christmas parade will be held Saturday, December 9th beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the Thayer High School.  Parade lineup will begin at 1:00 p.m.  All entries must be clean and decorated, only Christmas music playing on float. Parade entry forms are available here at K-Kountry 95 radio station, Community First Bank, Mammoth Spring Collision, Double 0 Hiway, north of the radio station, and Scott Cecil’s State Farm office by Subway.  If you would like for your float to be judged, there is a $10.00 entry fee.

 

SATURDAY, DEC 9 – MAMMOTH SPRING

The Mammoth Spring Christmas parade begins at 5.  Come join the festivities.
