A Pre-“S.Y.A.T.P. FRIDAY, SEPT 29 – MOUNTAIN VIEW, MO

An old fashion ham and bean supper will be served Friday, Sept 29th at the Mountain View Community Center from 4:00 until 6:30 p.m. This will include beans and ham, coleslaw, cornbread, dessert and tea, coffee or water. This is in conjunction with Pioneers Day that will be held on Saturday, Sept 30th.

 

SATURDAY, SEPT 30 – ALTON

The Alton Senior Center will host a pork loin dinner with all the fixings prepared by Mike Graham. Dinner will be Saturday, Sept. 30th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Alton Community Worship Center and sponsored by the Alton United Methodist church.  Cost of the dinner is by donation and proceeds will go toward the “Baskets of Love” program. The baskets are given to seniors for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

 

SATURDAY, SEPT 30 – WEST PLAINS:

The 9th Annual Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Foundation Blue Jean Ball will be held on Saturday, September 30th at Risner’s Stables in West Plains.  An old west saloon theme is planned for this year and entertainment will be by Cyndi and the Nutones.  Cajun Jim Antoine will provide karaoke.  Stars N Steeds Equestrian Drill Team from Willard will perform in the outdoor arena.  A Mechanical bull will be provided. A filet mignon, bar-b-q pork tenderloin or black bean burger dinner with all the trimmings will be served. Tickets are $50.00 until September 29th – $65.00 at the door.  Advanced tickets may be purchased at the OMC Foundation at No. 12 Parkway Center.  Lots of other activities are planned for the evening.  For more information call 417-853-5200.

SATURDAY, SEPT 30 – MAMMOTH SPRING:

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 – MYRTLE                                                               

The 20th annual Myrtle Yester-Daze Will be held Saturday in Myrtle, Missouri with a day fill with food, music, games, parade and concert from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. featuring Laure and Mike Gray.  Pancake breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. Parade is at 10:00. SEPTEMBER 30 – HENDERSON, AR

Norfork Fall Fishing Classic, Henderson, Arkansas on Saturday, September 30th.Guarantee first place payout $3250.  The Entry fee $150.00 per two person team. SEPT 30 – EMINENCE – Country Music Show

The BEST Foundation of Eminence R-1 School will be hosting a FREE Country Music Show on September 30th at 7:00 p.m., in the Old High School gym. You don’t want to miss these entertainers…They will be: The Bresslers, Current River Bluegrass and Country Revival.  Refreshments will be served. Plan to come out and support this event. There is no admission charge.

 

SATURDAY, SEPT 30 – WEST PLAINS:

THE Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Saturday, Sept 30th at the Wet Plains Civic Center.  There will be booths, games, live music, food, chili cook-off, just to name a few.  Registration is at 9:00 a.m. and ceremony at 10:00. SATURDAY, SEPT 30 –West Plains

Demolition Derby at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds in West Plains on Saturday, Sept 30th.  Figure 8 heat races start at 5:00 p.m. and big car derby and figure 8 features start at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is $15.00.for children 11 and under and $10.00 if you’re six and under free.

 

SUNDAY, October 1st–West Plains

1st Annual Camo Sunday at First Baptist Church-West Plains

In preparation for the upcoming fall hunting season, the congregation of the First Baptist Church-West Plains invites the community to join them for their 1st Annual Camo Sunday at 10:30 AM, Sunday, October 1, at 202 Walnut St., in West Plains.

“During this special Sunday we will celebrate the upcoming hunting season and honor our local outdoorsmen,” said Senior Pastor John King. “Those in attendance will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win a $500 Yeti Sportsman Package.”

Everyone is welcome to attend and encouraged to wear camo for the special service.

The Shannon County food Pantry Sock Hop/Dinner will be held on Saturday, October 7th at the Legion Hall in Birch Tree, Mo beginning at 4:00 p.m.  Go out and have a good time, Music, Auction and home cooked food.  Proceeds will go to the Shannon County Food Pantry.
